Comparison Study of Synonyms in the Perspective of International Chinese Education

This article attempts to analyze the differences and similarities in domain, collocation, semantic prosody of Chinese synonyms “jiǎn, qiē, kǎn, gē” native language corpus learner corpus, using online retrieval tool Sketch Engine. Firstly, usage domains word frequency distributions these four verbs are statistically analyzed. Secondly, common collocations retrieved sorted based on LogDice values, their visually presented through charts. Additionally, “lexical sketch contrastive analysis” function is used further compare among words. Finally, by observing verbs, each summarized. It believed that corpus-based comparative research, this method can serve as a new approach for distinguishing synonyms, promote application corpora international education.
